A Story of Courage and Hope
The Elephant Conspiracy is a first of it’s kind, real life in situ character driven documentary, that examines the principles, strategies, failures and opportunities to conserve elephants, the biodiversity that sustains them, and the role rural communities have to play for this to become a reality.
Our documentary presents more than just an examination of conservation philosophies and strategies. It looks at the underlying societal principles on a larger scale. Such as how the media has consciously created a cognitive bias towards successful scientifically based conservation strategies that negatively impacts on rural communities benefiting from sustainable wildlife resources.
The outcome we hope to achieve:
Communicating and informing the largest possible audience about the mythinformation surrounding elephant conservation. - Starting an informed public debate about how to sustainably save Africa´s elephants. - Provoking a political debate about future conservation strategies. - Giving rural people of Africa a voice in conservation issues that affect them directly - Be a change agent for conservation strategies. For the sake of African elephants AND rural people.
